Meenakshi Vashisht having been part of multiple tech journeys- PSLV at ISRO, the Indian telecom dream at C-DoT, handphones and intelligent automotives at Motorola and NXP, Meenakshi comes with extensive experience in architecture, design, development and commercial deployment of deep tech hardware-software systems and semiconductor ICs. She currently works with customers to drive operational savings and customer engagement through TekUncorked IoT, AI & ML solutions. After spending 30+ years in deep-tech leadership roles managing large global development programs with >50MUSD YoY budgets, Meenakshi hit a reset button to start her entrepreneurial journey. A trek to Chamoli district in Uttarakhand and a chance encounter with a young lady carrying a big load of dried sticks that she had collected from the forest floor changed Meenakshi’s life forever. Over cups of hot chai, the lady shared stories of how the small solar panel donated by the government was not enough to bring electricity to her home but kept them connected to the world through a small radio. What followed was a journey across 20,000 kilometres to get to know the ground realities of rural and sub-urban India, followed by over a dozen consumer deployments to mature the tech stack and explore the product market fit. Today, Meenakshi and her team work with utilities to make them smart, connected and predictive with the objective of facilitating reliable, outage-free electricity for all.
