Ms. Snigdha Verma represents Convergence Energy Services Ltd., EESL Group, a venture of Central Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Ms. Verma graduated with an MSc. in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, US, in 2010. She started her career with The World Bank Group in Washington, DC focusing on financial and private sector development. (Publication – Good Practices for Financial Consumer Protection, The World Bank, 2012). Ms. Verma then moved to rural India and served the ‘Solar Mamas’ at Barefoot College, a not-for-profit social enterprise where illiterate women train on assembling home lighting systems and solar products. (Interview with The Pulse, Sansad TV, 2020). In 2021, Ms. Verma joined Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. She now leads carbon credit asset creation and monetization across energy efficiency and public eMobility programs for CESL. Ms. Verma regularly participates at global forums such as the Tufts Energy Conference 2023, UN Commission on the Status of Women 2022, Loughborough University’s MECS program, The Climate Group et al.
