A. Sharma (M’01–SM’17) received M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur, India, in 2001, and 2014 respectively. He is presently working as associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur, India. He was with Energy, Resource and Utility Vertical, Tata Consultancy Services, Lucknow, India, for 15 years. He also worked in Smart Grid division of Wipro Technologies during 2015-2016. His current research interests include power system state estimation, smart grid technology, and IoT applications in power system.
