Tarun Katiyar is a seasoned energy sector leader with over 30 years of experience across the power value chain. Currently CEO of Tata Power Trading Company Limited, he has led key initiatives in power trading, transmission, distribution, and integrated energy solutions. His leadership enabled the acquisition of four Odisha DISCOMs, expanding services to 9 million customers, and major transmission project developments in Uttar Pradesh and across North India. Internationally, he has spearheaded advisory and utility reform projects in over a dozen countries, including Mozambique, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. A champion of energy transition, Tarun focuses on decarbonization, digitization, and decentralization. He holds a BE in Electrical & Electronics from Manipal Institute of Technology and completed the Senior Leadership Development Programme at IIM Ahmedabad. Known for his strategic insight, he continues to drive sustainable growth and transformation in the Indian and global energy sectors.
