ISUW 2025 Speaker

Miguel Martinez is PhD on physics specialized on grid integration. He starts his works on a testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) company on 2005 and after 2 years continues his career in another TIC company where developed his certification and testing activities on renewable energy sector as certification manager. After 8 years he left the company with a department of 20 employees dedicated to renewable energies and found a new certification body fully dedicated to renewable energies. On 2023 he joins UL leading the activities of testing, simulation and certification of renewable energies in Madrid (Spain). Until 2023 he was professor of 2 master for renewable energies for power converters and assessor for ISO 17025 and ISO 17065 at IECEE and national accreditation body. He starts his standards committee’s activities on 2010 and during this time he leads some committees as convenor and work actively on standards committee for grid integration at national, European and international level. He works too on certification scheme developments for grid code compliance of generators during the last 15 years. During his works he participates on testing, simulation and certification activities for more than 9 GW of grid code compliance of Power generating systems (PGS, power plants) and Power generating units, PV inverters; Storage converters and power plant controllers). He works actively with more than 60 different grid codes at worldwide level.
