Dr. Anita Gupta is a Scientist ‘G’/Advisor & Head – Climate, Energy, and Sustainable Technology (CEST) at the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. With over 28 years of experience, she has played a pivotal role in clean energy transitions, climate change policies, innovation, and entrepreneurship. A Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, M.Tech from MANIT Bhopal, and B.E. from NIT Raipur, Dr. Gupta has spearheaded over 175 technology incubators, led Startup India’s NIDHI initiative, and built global partnerships with industry leaders like Intel, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin. She represents India in Mission Innovation (MI) and drives research in solar energy, hydrogen, energy storage, smart grids, and carbon capture. A key advocate for public-private collaborations, she has worked with UNDP, BRICS, and G-20 while leading bilateral clean energy projects with global partners. A frequent speaker and author, she was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award 2024 by NIT Raipur for her contributions to sustainability and entrepreneurship
