Charu Kaistha currently holds the position of Chief General Manager at the Projects Division, Power Finance Corporation Limited, an Infrastructure Finance Company (IFC). She has 20+ years of cross functional exposure at PFC of both asset and liability side encompassing project appraisal, capital advisory, lending policy, stressed asset restructuring, resource mobilisation both domestic and foreign. Presently she and her team are focussed on designing credit models and policies for funding energy transition projects such as Electric Vehicle, Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider, Pumped Storage Projects and Green Hydrogen Projects (on the anvil). This purpose is supported by academic credential of M.B.A. Finance Full Time from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi. She has been recognised for academic/ scholastic excellence and awarded Sanwa Bank Foundation Tokyo Scholarship during MBA and NORAD Scholarship from Norwegian development agency. In 2018 she was selected for a specialized training on Energy Transition sponsored by Govt. of Japan. In 2020 during pandemic she successfully completed Professional LLM course National Law University, Delhi achieving outstanding grade in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). While she has many firsts to her credit in professional arena, one of her favourite endeavour was policy advocacy with the Ministry of Power (MoP) and her involvement in funding prototype for power sector deployed in 2020 under Atma Nrbhar Bharat which improved sector liquidity. Over the years she has led various initiatives for Women Empowerment such as organizing Pink Cricket, chairperson of Committee for International Women’s Day as platforms for self expression. During her leisure time she likes to spend quality time with the family.
