Anton Barckhausen is Head of Programme Energy at adelphi. His work focusses on the areas of Energy and Energy Efficiency. An engineer in energy and process technology, Anton is especially devoted to the development of market-driven instruments for increasing energy efficiency, taking technical, political, and financial aspects into account. He has experience on assessment of demand side management potentials in industrial companies and development of business models for demand side flexibility. he has done assessment on demand response potential of industrial customers in Germany and have done management of project modules as part of Germany’s largest campaign for energy efficiency in the private sector, industry, and trade. He has been instrumental in development of a DR potential assessment tool for industrial customers of one of Germanies largest utilities followed by implementation of more than 20 sight demand response audits. He also led a research project on AI based identification and control of distributed, small scale electricity users to assess the real-time demand response potential and charted regulatory pathways for the demand-response.
