Rajasekar Elangovan is an associate professor at the Department of Architecture and Planning, IIT Roorkee and a joint faculty at the Centre for Transportation systems. He is an architect specialized in building science. He works in the field of thermal comfort, thermal performance of buildings and energy demand management in buildings. He holds an M.S. by research and PhD degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras. Prior to joining IIT Roorkee, he worked at the Center for Excellence and Futuristic Developments, L&T Construction as a research and development engineer. Rajasekar is associated with the Mission Innovation resource unit established by DST. He has been actively helping DST in capturing the outcomes of the building energy efficiency program.
